Web.com Tour — West Waterford's Seamus Power is six strokes behind American Tommy Gainey after the opening round of the Greater Dallas Open.
Power made five birdies in a three under 69 on the Lakes at Castle Hills near Lewisville to share 59th spot as Gainey posted a bogey free, nine under 63 to head the field by one. Scores
PGA TOUR — Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama made four birdies on each nine to surge into a tie for the lead at the Memorial Tournament.
Matsuyama carded a bogey-free 64 to move joint-top of the leaderboard alongside Bo van Pelt, who fired 10 birdies during his round to set the early pace.
