McNamara starts well in Agadir
EPD Tour — Headfort's Rory McNamara got off to a positive start with a two under par 70 in the opening round of the €30,000 Open Tazegzout in Morocco.
Four birdies and two bogeys left the former West and North of Ireland Amateur champion tied for 13th at Tazegzout Golf Club in Agadir, five strokes behind Anton Kirstein of Germany.
Stackstown's Richard Bridges was a couple under with four to go but bogeyed his 15th and then double bogeyed his final hole for a one over 73 and a share of 34th.
Royal County Down's Reeve Whitson and Co Meath's Ciaran Boggan are tied 51st after a pair of two over 74s.
