Poor finish costs Meadow in California

Stephanie Meadow dropped three shots in her last four holes to open with a three over 75 in the LPGA Symetra Tour's IOA Championship at Tukwet Canyon Golf Club in California.
The former Curtis Cup star, who failed to get through the LPGA Q-School in December after a year in marked by the loss of her father to cancer, turned in one over after sandwiching a birdie at the fifth between bogeys at the third and seventh.
A birdie three at the 12th left the Jordanstown native at one over par but she bogeyed the par-three 15th and then took a double bogey seven at the 16th to end the day tied for 66th on three over.
