Horses for courses at Killiney Mixed Foursomes
Killiney Golf Club has announce a new agreement for the sponsorship of their Invitational Mixed Foursomes week with Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel
This competition is one of the most popular mixed events on the golfing calendar and is now in its 40th year.
Commenting on the news Club President Brendan Pigott said: “We are delighted to welcome Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel, Dublin as our new sponsor, which enables us to deliver a great tournament and great social events for all 128 players and their friends”
This year’s event is being run from the May 15-20 with 64 teams invited to play from all the major Golf clubs in the South Leinster region. The format of the competition, is Matchplay, pairs must come from the same club, and the week includes a range of social evenings along with the highly competitive golf.
Yvonne McNamara, Sales Director, Radisson Blu St. Helen’s Hotel commented “We are always keen to support local clubs and act as home to many visiting sporting teams into Ireland. It is also a great opportunity for us to showcase our conference, BBQ, private dining facilities and how we can cater for all hospitality package requests. The week culminates in a Gala Dinner with entertainment and Prize Presentation and where Sponsors, Participants, club members and officials come together to celebrate the week.
Jockey David Mullins stepped out to lend his support for the sponsorship by Radisson Blu St Helen’s Hotel which will be the team headquarters for June's prestigious Curtis Cup, which will be staged for the 38th time this year at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club when the top amateur women representing Great Britain & Ireland and the United States face off.
Killiney Golf Club was established in 1903 and the club's invitation week is one of the longest running mixed events in Leinster and a premier fixture on the club calendar.
