Annabel Wilson leads Fairhaven Trophy challenge
Annabel Wilson leads the Irish challenge for the girls title at the Fairhaven Trophies in Lytham.
The Lurgan star added a three over 78 to her opening 74 to share the lead with Channels’ Lilly Humphreys and Royal Cromer’s Amelia Williamson on two over par 152 entering Sunday's final round.
Killarney’s Mairead Martin is just three shots behind on five over 155 after she followed a 79 with a 76, coming home in two under par to keep her title hopes alive.
Scotland’s Jamie Stewart (76-69), Finland’s Sami Valimaki (74-71) and Germany’s Nick Sachem (74-71) lead the boys competition by three strokes on one over 145 from England’s Harrison Ottley-Wood, Germany’s Marc Hammer and Sweden’s Christoffer Palsson.
All the Irish boys missed the 153 cut with Kinsale’s John Murphy (80-74, 154) the best of the bunch ahead of Bushfoot’s Owen Crooks (81-77, 158), Waterford Castle’s Andrew Mulhall (87-79, 166) and Hilton Templepatrick’s Jordan Logue (83-86, 169).
