McNamara 10th in Düsseldorf
EPD Tour — Headfort's Rory McNamara closed with a four under 66 to share 10th place in the KOSAIDO Düsseldorf Open.
The former West and North of Ireland champion, a winner already this season on the Germany based satellite tour, is 10th in the Order of Merit and chasing promotion to the Challenge Tour.
He finish on five under par, eight shots behind Germany's Heinrich Arkenhau, who shot a 69 to win by two strokes at KOSAIDO International Golf Club.
McNamara is keeping his fingers crossed he will earn some Challenge Tour invitations on home soil this season.
Last year he got a late call up for the Volopa Irish Challenge hosted by Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa and Golf Resort and finished tied 35th.
The Volopa Irish Challenge takes place in Tullow from September 8-11 but before that there's the Tayto Northern Ireland Open in Partnership with Ulster Bank at Galgorm Castle from July 28-31.
