French rising star Romain Langasque stormed into a share of the halfway lead at the Omega European Masters as all three Irishmen in action missed the cut.

The leader of the Challenge Tour rankings posted a seven under par 63, the joint best round of the day, to move to the top alongside Richard Bland and Richard Green.

The 21 year old. who only turned professional following an appearance at the Masters Tournament in April, continued to prove why is one of European golf’s most exciting talents in Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club.

The 2015 Amateur Champion registered five birdies and an eagle, at the par five 14th hole, to move to a nine under total, where he was later joined by Englishman Bland (64) and three-time European Tour winner Green (66) of Australia.

Michael Hoey shot a three over 73 to miss the level par cut by four strokes as Paul Dunne ended his week on six over after a 74 and Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke finished on 14 over after rounds of 78 and 76.
