Cork's Brian O'Donovan missed out on winning a full exemption for the PGA Tour China when he finished tied 38th in the Venue 3 International Qualifying event at Kunming OCT Wind Valley Club in Yunnan.
A PGA instructor at Mission Hills Golf Academies in Shenzhen, the Bandon native was in position after rounds of 71, 72 and 70 but a closing 77 means the 30-year old will not have full access to all 12 PGA Tour China events.
O’Donovan graduated as an Assistant PGA Professional in October 2013 after completing a three-year degree in Professional Golf Studies at the University of Birmingham.
He was an assistant at Douglas Golf Club before moving to China and is now a Senior Instructor at Mission Hills.
