Q-School: Galbraith and Moriarty in position
Whitehead's John Ross Galbraith and former Challenge Tour winner Colm Moriarty are in position to progress entering the final round of the First Stage of the European Tour Qualifying School Section A qualifer in Scotland.
Galbraith added a one-under 71 to his brace of 70s to share 11th place at The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course in Kelso, where the top 20 and ties progress to the Second Stage.
Moriarty moved up to tied 16th on three-under thanks to a four-under 68 and is right on the qualifying mark with one round to go.
Headfort's Joe Dillon (77-75-77, 229) and Castlewarden's Mark Whelan (73-80-77, 230) missed the 54-hole cut (22).
At the Section A qualifier at Fleesensee Golf and Country Club in northern Germany, Mount Juliet's Stephen Grant is four shots outside the top 20 and ties (level par) after rounds of 71, 74 and 75 left him on four-over.
The former professional footballer is tied for 46th and will likely need a 68 or 67 to keep his hopes of progressing alive.
