Mount Juliet’s Stephen Grant is six shots outside the qualifying places heading into the final round of the Web.com Tour Qualifying School First Stage event at The Preserve at Ironhorse in West Palm Beach.

The Birr native added a 73 to opening rounds of 73 and 69 to share 37th place on one-over in the race to finish in the top 21 and ties.

Grant was three-over par after eight holes of his third round but after picking up two birdies and eagle in his first five holes on the back nine, he bogeyed the 15th, 16th and 17th before finishing with a birdie.

CJ Swift and Dylan Freeman lead by a stroke on 12-under par.
