Hilary: Knightly and Murphy best at Seapoint

The par-five 18th at Seapoint Golf Links

Royal Dublin’s Kevin Knightly eagled the par-five 18th en route to victory in the second Hilary Golf Society outing in the 2019 series at Seapoint Golf Links.

With the course playing its full length on a cold, blustery day, the three-handicapper shot a two-over 74 nett to beat Dundalk’s Clem Walshe after a countback.

Dundalk’s Eoin Murphy, who is playing off plus one, won the gross with a fine 73.

John Hutchinson (Royal Dublin), Alan Rohan (Naas) and Graham Lynch (Co. Louth) claimed the team prize with 65.

The next outing takes place at Laytown and Bettystown on Sunday, March 3.
