Leona Maguire slipped to six-over 79 to fall out of contention as Lina Boqvist and Nuria Iturrios took a seven-shot into the final round of the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.

The Slieve Russell star was tied for 11th, eight shots off the lead on one-over-par starting the day but she never got going and after going out in 40, she made just one birdie against four bogeys on the back nine to finish the day tied 41st on seven-over. Scores

Boqvist shot a four-under 69 and Iturrios a 70 on the Blue Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam to share the lead on 10-under par and set up a final round duel for the title with Caroline Hedwall, Hannah Burke and Laura Fuenfstueck are tied for third on three-under.

On the LPGA Tour, Stephanie Meadow shot a three-over 74 in the third round of the Hugel-Air Premia LA Open at Wilshire Country Club to share 64th on four-over par. Scores
