Yates signs long-term management deal with JMC Sport
Alps Tour professional Jonathan Yates has signed a long-term management deal with JMC Sport — a sports management and athlete representation firm with offices in Europe and the United States.
The 26-year-old Naas golfer, who lies 18th in the Alps Tour Order of Merit in his rookie season thanks to four top 10 finishes from 15 starts, has full Alps Tour status for 2020 and will also have a number of invites to choose from on the Challenge Tour circuit.
The former West of Ireland champion will also compete at this year’s European Qualifying School in a bid to earn his European Tour card.
Yates said: “I’m so pleased to sign with JMC Sport, a management company who is passionate about helping young talented golfers reach their true potential.
“I feel the team at JMC Sport understands what I need to achieve success. I can’t wait to benefit from all aspects of support. I look forward to what is to come in the future.”
He will be managed by Kerry native Emma O’Driscoll, JMC Sport’s Director of Business Development and Player Management.
Jean-Marie Painvin, CEO of JMC Sport said: “I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with Jonathan and meet his family. I’m impressed by his character, dedication and commitment to the game. I look forward to supporting Jonathan as he continues his exciting rise on the professional circuit.”
Yates is sponsored by Ping, Titleist, Druids Clothing and Milner Browne to include a full line of equipment, headwear, clothing and support.
