Irish Senior women beat Scottish Vets in 20th meeting at Roganstown
After a break of two years the annual match between the Irish Senior Women's golf team and the Scottish Vets for the "Mary McKenna Salver” took place at Roganstown Golf Club at the weekend.
This was the 20th playing of the event which started in 2000.
Captained by Marilyn Henderson, Team Ireland won 7-5 to reclaim the trophy, earning a clean sweep of victories in four fourballs before Scotland fought back to win the singles 3-5.
Mary Anderson and Nancy Duncan, who were Captains of the teams for the inaugural match in 2000 at Royal Portrush, were also present at the 20th staging in Dublin.
