Roganstown teenager Sean Keeling added a 70 to his opening 65 to lead the Brabazon Trophy by two shots at Sunningdale New.
The 16-year-old Irish Boys international, who lies third in the race for a Junior Ryder Cup spot later this year, leads on five-under-par from Walton Heath's Kris Kim at halfway.
Laytown and Bettystown’s Alex Maguire was tied seventh on one-over after a 72 with Matthew McClean (72), and Liam Nolan (70) on two-over.
Hugh Foley slipped to four over after a 75 with Patrick Keeling six over after a 71..
Gweedore’s Padraig O Dochartaigh made the seven-over cut on the mark after a 74 but Joshua Hill (75 76), Robert Moran (73 81) and Robert Brazill (74 82) missed out.
