Power lurking in US; McCarroll trailing on Alps

West Waterford's Seamus Power is lurking just three shots off the lead entering the final round of the eGolf Professional Tour's Columbia Open in South Carolina.
The former Irish amateur international, who leads money list on the third tier tour, shot a four under 67 to get to 10 under par.
The 27-year-old opened his 2014 campaign with back-to-back top-5s at the Palmetto Hall Championship and Championship at Callawassie Island, then put on a clinic at Cowan's Ford, posting a 10-under par tally on a demanding venue to win by four shots.
He was the halfway and 54-hole leader at the Championship at St. James Plantation last month, but faltered in the final round, closing with a 76 to finish tied for sixth.
But given his form, he'll fancy his chances of challenging Ryan Sullivan despite the fact that the Winston-Salem native has won on PGA TOUR Latinoamerica, secured his Web.com Tour card for the year, and made the cut in a PGA TOUR event in the last seven months.
The former UNC Wilmington star posted a third-round 68 to lead by two shots on 13-under from Pal Beach resident Sunny Kim.

On the Alps Tour, Ballyliffin's Brendan McCarroll was frustrated to shoot a one over 73 that left him six shots behind leader Matt Wallace of England in the Open International de Rebetz on two under. Leaderboard
Simon Ward shot 70 to make the level par cut on the mark but Brian Casey missed out by seven shots after a 77.
