That’s what Jose Luis Ballester, of Spain, experienced on a glorious Sunday at Hazeltine National Golf Club. But the 2-up win over Noah Kent in the 36-hole final of the 124th U.S. Amateur Championship nearly had his opponent blow out the candles before making his ultimate wish.
