Harrington misses cut in Charlotte
Padraig Harrington shot a second round 75 to miss the cut by four shots at the Quail Hollow Championship in North Carolina.
After finishing triple bogey - double bogey for a 73 on Thursday, the Dubliner's hopes were dashed by a poor start to his second round.
He began with a bogey six at the 10th and followed that with a double bogey six at the next to drift to four over par.
He got back to two-over with birdies at the 12th and 15th, but undid his hard work with three bogeys and a solitary birdie on his back nine.
It was his third missed cut from eight PGA Tour starts this year.
Struggling off the tee, Harrington hit just 36 percent of the fairways only half the greens over the first two days.
The only positive is that he now has time to sort out his game before The Players at Sawgrass and The 3 Irish Open.
Bubba Watson shot a seven-under 65 to share the lead with Retief Goosen (68) on eight under par as Tiger Woods bogeyed the 16th and 18th for a 72 that left him one shot behind.
