Michael McGeady was the only Irishman to make the cut in the Challenge Tour's Moroccan Classic at El Jadida Royal Golf and Spa.

As Englishman Robert Coles shot a five-under par 67 to take a three-stroke lead over Matthew Zions at halfway, McGeady made the four-over par cut on the mark after a second round 73.

Gareth Shaw (75), Colm Moriarty (72) and Richard Kilpatrick (77) missed out by two strokes with Noel Fox five strokes outside the safety zone after a 79.

McGeady is 12 strokes behind Coles, who leads on eight-under par.
