Lisburn’s Paul Grant finished a fine 18th in the Argentinian Women’s Open at the Hurlingham Club in Buenos Aires.

The Irish Close champion, who partnered fellow R&A Bursar Katie Bradbury of Wales to a five-shot victory over the Argentinian Golf Association in the Copa Freddy Zorraquin on Friday, shot rounds of 75, 78 and 79 to finish on 19 over.

LPGA Tour professional Victoria Tanco took the overall honours in the 13th Argentinian Women’s Open by three shots on one under par.

But Grant was 12th in the Copa Fay Crocker for amateurs, which was decided over the first two rounds.

Home hope Magdalena Simmermacher took the amateur title on two over par after rounds of 69 and 77.

Golf has been played at the Hurlingham Club since a nine hole course opened in 1892 and was extended to 18 holes in 1922.
