Tramore 12th in snow-hit European Men's Club Trophy
Tramore were forced to settle for 12th place behind winners Parco di Roma G&CC as snow reduced to the European Men's Club Trophy from 54 to 18 holes.
The 23-team event was ravaged by heavy rain on Thursday and while the opening round was eventually completed on Friday with the Italian club heading Portugal's Vilamoura by virtue of their better discarded score, no play was possible on Saturday due to snowfall at Pravets Golf Club in Bulgaria.
The Parco di Roma team of Enrico Di Nitto (68), Renato Paratore (70) and Michele Cea (72) finished on 138 (-6) alongside Clube de Golfe de Vilamoura's Vitor Lopes (68), Joao Carlota (70) and Nathan Brader (75).
Under the rules, the Italians won by virtue of their better discarded score — Cea's 72 to Brader's 75.
