The Masters might be just around the corner but some of Ireland's top players are heading south on April 6 for the second edition of Dungarvan's South East Scratch Fourball Championship.

The 36-hole betterball battle proved popular last year and Niall Gorey and John Greene will be back to defend their title.

Irish international Geoff Lenehan will partner Richard Knightly while Irish Boys champion Robin Dawson teams up with Tramore's Chris Butler.

The event has been tagged as an ideal preparation for anyone playing in the Munster Youths, which will be held at Dungarvan just three weeks later from April 23-25.

To enter, contact Dungarvan Golf Club or phone Alan Thomas on +353 (0) 87 067 1207

The entry fee of €30 per person includes lunch.
