Royal Curragh off to a winner in Provincial Towns Cup

Inter-club golf is in full swing in Leinster with the early exchanges complete in the Provincial Towns Cup, the Metropolitan Trophy and the Leinster Fourball Trophy.

Royal Curragh — the oldest golf course in Ireland with its original holes laid out “on the links near  Donnelly’s Hollow” by Edinburgh's David Ritchie in 1852 — got off to a winning start in the Provincial Towns Cup with a 5.5-3.5 victory over Craddockstown.
