Tour round-up Saturday: Kearney slips back, Grant sixth

Sweden's Pontus Widegren is tied for the lead n the  D+D REAL Czech Challenge in the Czech Republic.

Challenge Tour — Niall Kearney fell 25 spots to joint 42nd with a round to play in the  D+D REAL Czech Challenge in the Czech Republic.

The Royal Dublin player had three birdies and four bogeys in a 73 at Golf & Spa Kunetická Hora. At three under par, he's 10 strokes behind leaders Daniel Gaunt (70) , Chris Lloyd (69) and Sweden’s Pontus Widegren (66). They're one ahead of Ross McGowan. Scores

PGA Europro Tour — The Heritage's Stephen Grant finished tied for sixth behind England's Jack Senior in the Kerry London Championship at Burhill Golf Club's New Course. Scores

The Birr man closed with a three under 69 to finish four shots behind Senior on five under par and earn £987. Limerick's Tim Rice was joint 24th on one under after a 73 and picked up £325.

Senior shot a 71 to win by one from Sam Connor on nine under.

Alps Tour — Headfort's Brian Casey finished tied for ninth, six shots behind Nino Bertasio of Italy in the Open de St Francois in Guadeloupe. Scores

Four bogeys around the turn in a level par 72 were too much of a burden for the former Mullingar Scratch Cup winner, who took home €987 for his best performance of the season to move up to 42nd in the Order of Merit.

Bertasio closed with a 73 to win by three strokes, earning €5,800 to go second in the money list behind Thomas Elissalde of France
