McGinley backs Grange Dublin Boys’ Championship
In the year in which he makes history as the first Irishman to captain the European Ryder Cup team, Paul McGinley is inviting ambitious young golfers to follow in his footsteps by playing in the Allianz sponsored Grange Dublin Boys’ golf championship, on the course where he learned his golf.
The prestigious 36 holes event takes place at The Grange golf club on Monday, July 21st for players of 16 handicap and under. Closing date for entries is Friday, July 11th.
It will be the 21st anniversary staging of one of the most popular events on the boys’ golf calendar and McGinley, who has proudly maintained his strong ties with the Grange club, says:
“I am delighted to be associated with this event, especially as it celebrates its 21st anniversary in my year as Captain of the European Ryder Cup team. I commend my sponsors Allianz and my club Grange for their on-going commitment to this championship as it is crucial for the future of Irish golf that the game is supported at underage level”.
