McNeill and Coffey cruise to East of Ireland Mixed

Peter McNeill (Woodbrook) and Louise Coffey (Malone) were the clear winners of this year's East of Ireland Mixed Foursomes Championship with a two round total of 149, writes Leinster Golf.

They lead the field by 3 after the first round 74, in a competition that featured 36 teams. No team was able to make any inroads into thier lead in the afternoon round as they shot 75 to match the best returned card for round two.

Runners up went to Richard Tighe (Elm Park) and Louise Mernagh (Woodenbridge) who matched the winners second round score of 75 to finish with a total of 156.

Third place went to Brian Dowling (Lucan) & Molly Dowling (Lucan) who returned rounds of 80,76 for a two round total of 156.

Fourth place went to Kevin LeBlanc (The Island) and Julie McCarthy (Forrest Little) with a two round total of 158.
