Grant and Casey fire 64s — Top 10 at PGA Catalunya

Birr's Stephen Grant and Headfort's Brian Casey closed with six under par 64s to claim Top 10 finishes in the ECCO Tour's winter series event at PGA Catalunya Resort near Girona.

Grant had seven birdies and a bogey on the Tour Course to finish the three round event tied for fifth on nine under par, just four shots behind the winner. Scores

He opened with a fine 70 on the tough Stadium Course but a 69 on the Tour Course on Wednesday left him with too much to do and Swede Daniel Jennevret shot 63 to win by two from Dane Victor Osterby on 13 under.

Jennevret won the €9,000 top prize with Grant making just over €2,100.

As for Casey, he had an eagle, five birdies and just one bogey in his 64 to pick up €1,400.
