The Masters by the numbers - how the Irish fared

Jordan Spieth's putter is the only thing that truly sets him apart from the rest in the 79th Masters. 

The 21-year old Texan leads for total putts after two days — just 50 — which is five fewer than Shane Lowry, who missed the cut by one.

Lowry's statistics show that he didn't hit enough fairways or greens in regulation while Pádraig Harrington, the other Irishman to miss the cut, was poor off the tee and on the greens.

As for Rory Mcilroy, the world No 1 has not been at his best with his irons but he's driven the ball well, which makes life easier on a golf course that puts huge demands on your approach play and short game.
