Mehaffey 10 adrift in Sweden
Swiss player Morgane Metraux posted a score of 62, ten under par, on the second day of the European Ladies’ Amateur Championship.
Olivia Mehaffey added a 73 to her opening 70 but found herself 10 shots off the pace in the European Ladies’ Amateur Championship at Hooks Golf Club in Sweden.
While the Royal County Down Ladies’ star share 26th on one under, Diane Baillieux went on a birdie blitz adding a 69 to add to her opening 64 to lead by two shots from Morgane Metraux of Switzerland, who shot a 10 under par, course record 62.
The top 60 and ties make the cut after today’s third round with Clandeboye’s Jessica Ross tied 42nd on three over after a 71.
Castletroy’s Chloe Ryan recovered well from an opening 77 and lies 85th on five over after a 72 while Lisa Maguire struggled to reproduce the steady golf of day one and finished with an 81 for tied 123rd on 153.
