Ciara Casey retains Hermitage Ladies Scratch Cup
Ciara Casey gave her confidence a boost ahead of this week's Irish Women's Open at County Louth when she retained the Hermitage Ladies Scratch Cup on her home course.
The Irish High Performance panellist added a 72 to her opening 74 to win by three strokes from Carlow's Aedin Murphy on level par 146.
The first home winner in the history of the event last year, Ciara will now be looking for a good week at Baltray.
The host club is also looking for great things from youngster Kate Lanigan, who finished sixth after a pair of 78s.
Kate, who was off nine last year, now plays off a handicap of five and she clearly found the pristine Hermitage greens to her liking in Sunday's Brady's of Castleknock event
