O'Rourke wins Irish Scratch Series at Luttrellstown Castle
Naas professional Conor O’Rourke fired a six-under-par 66 to win the top gross prize in the Flogas Autumn Irish Scratch Series at Luttrellstown Castle.
He won by three strokes from Ballymena-based professional Dermot McElroy, who took the second gross on a countback from Portmarnock Links’ Gary Cullen with a three-under 69.
Galway’s David Kitt, the former Irish Close runner-up, won the first nett as he shot a fine 70 to win with a 71 on a countback from Stephen Houlihan, who shot a 77 off six.
Paul McBride also shot 71 to finish just outside the prizes while Stuart Grehan, Cameron Raymond, Marc Boucher and Alps Tour professional David Carey shot level par 72’s with Aine Donegan posting a 76.
