Logue shines again for Mississippi Christian
JJ (Jordan) Logue continued his excellent form for the Mississippi Christian College when he helped the Choctaws finish second in the Buccaneer Spring Classic in Memphis.
The eldest son of Hilton Templepatrick PGA Professional and Golf Operations Manager Eamonn, Logue shot rounds of 76, 69 and 71to finish tied for fourth overall.
Mississippi College finished on 14-over, four strokes behind first-place Delta State, who finished with an overall score of 874 after three rounds.
Logue played for the Irish Under 16 Boys against Wales at Cardigan in 2016 and transferred to Mississippi from Eastern Arizona College
After the first round of competition on Monday, Mississippi College sat in seventh place overall on the overall leaderboard but rose to first place in the second round after shooting a 279, before following it up with a round three score of 295.
Logue’s play was key for the Choctaws while Adam Murphree finished tied for tenth after an overall score of 221 with rounds of 75, 71, and 75.
Logan tied for 14th in the Derrall Foreman Invitational in September with three rounds in the sixties, then finished 20th in the Cougar Invitational at Columbus State University in Georgia.
He was the leading Choctaws player in the Battle for the Belt in Arkansas in October, finishing six overall and also finished in the top 10 in the Tunica Cup.
He is ranked 82nd in the NCAA Men's Division II Players list with an adjusted scoring average of 72.53.
Mississippi College returns to action on March 21 at Southern Arkansas University.
