Play in Pink, the golf event fundraising arm of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) at the Lambe Institute in Galway enjoyed another fantastic year in 2024.

Galway’s Ronan Mullarney, who earned his place on the Challenge Tour for 2024 with some excellent showings in the Alps circuit, has been announced as an Ambassador for the Play in Pink initiative, which is part of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

During the 2023 KPMG Women’s Irish Open, Preferred Hotels & Resorts  - the world’s largest independent hotel brand – donated 1 million I Prefer Hotel Rewards points to Ireland’s National Breast Cancer Research Institute, the event’s charity partner.

Every year since 2014, Ireland’s lady golfers have proudly donned the pink jersey and played their favourite game to help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute through Play in Pink days at golf clubs nationally.
