The Irish star mixed three birdies with four bogeys in a one over 73 to share second spot with Peru's Lucia Gutierrez (77) and Mexico's Maria Fassi (73) on four over par, just two strokes behind Scotland's Emma Dryburgh (71).
Lurgan's Paula Grant (77 76 76) is tied for 15th on 13 over.
In the men's championship, US Mid-Amateur champion Scott Harvey shot a 70 to remain in front, one clear of Matías Simaski of Argentina on 10 under.
Another solid day tee to green in Peru. Hoping tomorrow I can finally figure out these Bermuda greens! #frustrating
