Rory McIlroy shot a 70 to finish 25th as Peter Lawrie's 66 gave him a $15,000 payday in the Abu Dhabi Invitational at Yas Links Abu Dhabi.
South Africa's Darren Fichardt posted an eight under 64 to win the charity event by one stroke from Thongchai Jaidee, Rafael Cabrera Bello and Ross McGowan.
Lawrie finished solo fifth with Michael Hoey (68) earning $4,200 for 10th place and McIlroy $4,000. Scores

West Waterford teenager Darragh Herlihy won won the South East Alliance outing at New Ross by four shots from Tipperary's Tony O'Sullivan thanks to a nett 69. In the gross, another West Waterford teenager in TW Murphy took the honours with a 73.
