David Carey during practice for the Tunisian Golf Open

Tommy O'Driscoll is the best of the Irish after the opening round of the Tunisian Golf Open, five strokes adrift of England's Matt Wallace.

Representing Irish owned Golf Clement Ader in Paris, O'Driscoll posted a level par 72 around El Kantaoui Golf Club's Composite Course to share 34th place.

Wallace's 67 gives him a one shot lead over Amaury Rosaye of France and England's Andrew Jones with David Carey the next best of the Irish in a share of 56th after a 74.

O'Driscoll's brothers are also in action with amateurs Eamonn (78) tied 98th and Dylan (84) 120th.
